Lamberts Bay Crayfish & Cultural Festival
From 24 – 27 April 2008
During the weekend of the 24 – 27 April 2008 Lamberts Bay takes pride in celebrating their seventh consecutive Crayfish and Cultural Festival.
Crayfish is our main attraction at a ridiculously low price to make it available to all. Lambert’s Bay is the crayfish mecca and this delicacy is prepared in true West Coast style.
Crayfish are not affected by red tide and is completely safe to eat. Although the crayfish season will be closed, crayfish will be available in abundance. The crayfish will be served in a crayfish and Graça wine garden. Other food stalls will also be available for the concerned pallet.
For the thirsty over 18’s a cash bar is available.
Girls, bring your wallets for all the goodies that you can buy from jewellery to clothing and something fun for the kids.
Activities include paint ball, clay pigeon and laser shooting. Entertainment such as face painting, boxing ring, slip and slides, balloon modelling, juggling, jumping castles etc will be available for the younger festival goers.
Music plays a very important part of this festival and we have some of the country’s best artists performing at our festival in this little village. We are very excited to host Bok van Blerk on Friday 25 April 2008.
Stoep stories otherwise known as “Kreefstories en ander Tjol” will keep you in stitches with Arno van Zyl, Leon Beukes, Alan Hughes and
others. Zain Johnson will be the MC for the weekend. He is the traffic reporter for one of our most popular radio stations.
A Mother and Child competition will be held on Saturday afternoon. Entries forms will be available on Saturday morning at the festival grounds information centre.
As usual on the Sunday Morning we will hold our inter denomination Church Thanksgiving Service.
